Goodnight T.V. is a new album by New Zealand composer and musician Ben Wilcock released on the 1st May 2020 by Thick Records NZ.
This is Wilcock’s debut solo piano album, having previously released albums with his trio The Jelly Rolls and as a sideman for The Troubles, Bella Kalolo, Louis Baker, John Rae and Swamp Thing.
From the nostalgic reflection of war time jazz standards, Cuban inspired Boleros, Boogie Woogie, and Harlem stride. Goodnight T.V. includes original compositions as well as unique arrangements of works by pianists Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and Fats Waller.
